DA for Bankers from February 2023

DA for Bankers is increased for the quarter February 2023 to April 2023.

CPI data for the month of October, November and December 2022 has been released, which is as under:

Based on the above numbers, the revised Dearness Allowance for Bank Employees will be 588 slabs, which translates to 41.16%.

There is an increase of 32 slabs in the DA effective from February 2023. The effective increase in percentage terms is 2.24%.

Previous DA rate was 556 slabs or 38.92% for the period November 2022 to February 2022.

DA for bank employees is linked to CPI data. DA payable to bankers increased to 556 slabs for the quarter Nov 22 to Jan 23 from the previous quarter, which was 526.

We shall update about the expected DA for next quarter (May 2023 to July 2023) on release of CPI data for the month of January 2023.
