JAIIB Examination Cycle — How the Schedule Works

IIBF conducts JAIIB examinations twice a year — once mid-year (May) and once year-end (November). Each of the 4 papers is held on a separate day within the cycle, spread across 3–4 weeks. You can attempt all 4 papers in a single cycle without any clashing. IIBF releases the full annual schedule for both cycles together, well in advance — the current 2026-27 schedule (covering May 2026 through January 2027) was published on 2 February 2026.

May 2026 Cycle — Status

May 2026 Cycle — Concluded, Results Declared
The May 2026 JAIIB cycle ran from 3 May to 17 May 2026 across all 4 papers. Results were declared in June 2026, roughly 5–6 weeks after the last paper.
How to check your result: Log in to the IIBF candidate portal at iibf.org.in using your registration number and date of birth, or membership number and password. Your scorecard shows paper-wise marks and pass/fail status.
If you appeared in May 2026: The November 2026 cycle is your next opportunity for any papers not yet cleared. Registration was rescheduled by IIBF and now opens 10 August 2026 — use June–July to review your paper-wise scores and plan which papers to re-attempt.

November 2026 Cycle — Confirmed Schedule

Paper Exam Date
Paper I — Indian Economy & Indian Financial System (IE&IFS) 1 November 2026 (Sunday)
Paper II — Principles & Practices of Banking (PPB) 22 November 2026 (Sunday)
Paper III — Accounting & Financial Management for Bankers (AFM) 28 November 2026 (Saturday)
Paper IV — Retail Banking & Wealth Management (RBWM) 29 November 2026 (Sunday)
Registration window (revised by IIBF, system migration): 10–16 August 2026 (Normal Fee) · 17–23 August 2026 (Normal Fee + ₹100) · 24–31 August 2026 (Normal Fee + ₹200).

Registration Process — Step by Step

Step 1 — Confirm Eligibility
You must be a confirmed member of IIBF and an employee of a bank/financial institution that is an IIBF member. There is no minimum service requirement for JAIIB (unlike CAIIB, which requires a passed JAIIB and minimum service). Check your IIBF membership status before the window opens.
Step 2 — Log In to IIBF Portal
Visit iibf.org.in → Examination → JAIIB Examination Registration. Use your IIBF membership number and registered email/mobile. Reset forgotten credentials before the window opens, not during.
Step 3 — Select Papers
Choose which of the 4 papers you are appearing for this cycle. If you are a fresh candidate, register for all 4. If you are re-attempting, register only for papers not yet cleared — already-passed papers carry forward.
Step 4 — Select Exam Centre
Choose your preferred examination city. Pick the centre closest to your posting — changing centre after allotment is difficult and subject to availability.
Step 5 — Pay the Examination Fee
Fee payment is online (net banking, UPI, debit/credit card). Fee amounts differ for fresh (all 4 papers) vs re-registration (1–3 papers) — check the current fee on iibf.org.in as it is revised periodically. Keep the payment receipt for admit card download and any fee queries.
Step 6 — Download Admit Card
Admit cards are available approximately 2 weeks before the first paper. Download and print — many centres do not accept mobile screenshots. Bring the admit card plus a government photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, or driving licence) on exam day.

How to Use the Interval Before November Registration

July to August 2026 — the preparation window
If you appeared in May
Review your paper-wise scorecard from the June results. Decide which papers need a November re-attempt and begin targeted preparation for those specific papers — do not re-study papers you have already cleared.
If you are starting fresh
November 2026 gives you roughly 3–4 months from now. IE&IFS and RBWM are the more conceptual papers (2–3 weeks prep each); PPB and AFM are heavier — start those first.
Paper selection strategy
Decide your paper selection before registration opens on 1 August — do not decide under time pressure during the registration window.
Centre choice
In metros (Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru), centres fill within days of registration opening. Have your centre preference list ready — first choice and fallback — before you log in to register.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the JAIIB November 2026 exam?

Paper I (IE&IFS) is on 1 November, Paper II (PPB) on 22 November, Paper III (AFM) on 28 November, and Paper IV (RBWM) on 29 November 2026. Registration was rescheduled by IIBF (system migration) and runs from 10 to 31 August 2026.

When were the May 2026 JAIIB results declared?

The May 2026 cycle ran from 3 to 17 May 2026, and results were declared in June 2026 — roughly 5–6 weeks after the last paper. Check your scorecard at iibf.org.in using your registration number and date of birth, or membership number and password.

Can I register for JAIIB after the registration window closes?

No. Once the final late-fee registration tier closes (31 August 2026 for the November cycle, after IIBF’s system-migration reschedule), no further registrations are accepted for that cycle. You would need to wait for the next cycle (May 2027).

If I clear some papers in May but not others, do I re-register for all 4 in November?

No. You only register for the papers you have not yet cleared. Papers already passed carry forward within your attempt window (5 attempts or 3 years from first enrolment).

Where can I verify the official JAIIB exam dates myself?

The primary source is the IIBF examination schedule PDF published on iibf.org.in. The current schedule (covering May 2026 to January 2027) was notified on 2 February 2026. Always verify against this official document rather than third-party sites before finalising your plans.
