Next round of bipartite talks on 15th October 2019

Next round of negotiations for 11th bipartite talks to be held on 15th October 2019.

The news has come just after the news of IBA advising for adhoc payment of one month salary (advance against arrears) to bank employees in view of delay in wage revision and looking into the festive season.

30 rounds of discussions for negotiations for salary and other issues under 11th bipartite settlement have already taken place but bankers are not yet sure that when they’ll get hike in salary and more importantly how much salary hike they are going to get in this wage revision.

We analysed the earlier settlement trend and found that 30 months is the average delay for wage revision of banks. There were 20 rounds of negotiations during 10th bps and was delayed by 30 months. This time its already 24 months and it seems that many more to go.

Bank Unions earlier called for 2 days’ strike on 26 and 27 September, which was later on deferred (infact cancelled) after getting some assurance from DFS.
