DA for Bank Employees from February 2018 [Confirmed]

DA for Bank Employees from February 2018 to April 2018 has to increased by 1.10 % (Read: How DA for Bank Employees is calculated).

DA slabs for the next quarter, February 2018 to April 2018 will be 527 i.e., 52.70 %. That means an expected increase in DA by 1.10% from the existing 51.60% for the quarter Nov 17 to Jan 18.

Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the month of December 2017 has also been published by Labour Bureau, which is also 286 i.e., 2 points decrease from November’s level of 288. It was 287 for October 2017. Accordingly, There is an increase of 11 slabs in DA for bankers..

Dearness Allowance for bankers increased by 3.80% during the previous quarter (Nov 17 to Jan 18) and the increase trend now continues.

Lets see the calculations:

CPI for the month of October, November & December 2017 is 287, 288 & 286 respectively. Converting the CPI by multiplying with conversion factor (4.63 x 4.93) , it works out to 6551.03 (average).

By deducting 4440 slabs (which were merged in basic pay in 10th bipartite settlement), works out to 527.76 for the quarter (rounded off to 527).

We’ll update the update about the Expected increase in Dearness Allowance for May 2018 to July 2018, next month on the release of CPI data for the month of January 2018.
